Hi,

We have decided we are going to buy the MAM anti colic bottles and steriliser but I'm undecided on the breast pump. Has anyone had any experiences of it? I think the main thing I am worried about is whether a manual breast pump may be a bit hard work compared to an electric one!!!

I think it all depends on how much you plan to express. My friends lent me her MAM pump and it looks pretty good but I'm not sure how much I'll need it.

DS1 wouldn't take a bottle at all. I had a manual tommee tippee pump that was handy to keep by the bed for when I woke up engorged or was too full for DS to latch on. An electric pump would of been too much of a faf for that, I'm glad I could just stick on on a squeeze. (There were times when forgot to leave the pump on the bedside table and would wake up really engorged wailing and DH to "get the bloody pump"- good times)
