I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant with dd2 and I'm constantly in pain! When she moves it feels as though she's going to split my stomach open, or worse, break my rib.

I didn't have this with dd1 but it's starting to go past a bit painful. I'm dreading her moving!

Is this normal? Anyone else the same?

All I can really say is that I'm 36+2 with ds1 and he's very low down so when he's moving it is quite painful, but it feels like he's trying to break out early! So not in the same place as you, but it's my cervix that's taking a battering! Takes my breath away sometimes (I get very worried looks from my OH!). Your baby will probably drop soon and make it easier on your ribs!

I hated that! Whatever it was prodding me in the ribs constantly, getting right under there and wedged! Then when he moved down, it felt like my pelvis was breaking but thankful that I could somewhat breathe! I definitely wanted him out.

I had this with ds, I really feel for you, it's so painful Flowers

So it appears it's not unusual. Now I've felt it l wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Dd was 7lbs 6 and l barely felt her, l'm actually worried about how big this baby is going to be Shock

Yes I find it pretty horrible towards the end. With ds, he would kick my ribs really hard when eating which put me off! Now he's here he's still always kicking!

I think it can be if they are in an awkward position but think you should definitely let your midwife know if you haven't already do she can check and set your mind (if not your body) at ease
