Positive fetal fibronectin test...anyone else?

I'm 33 weeks and on Friday I went into hospital with reduced movements. Whilst on the monitor the doctor noticed I was having tightenings, so decided to perform a cervical test to check for possibility of early labour. The test came back positive so I stayed in overnight for 2 doses of steroids. I'm home now but getting lots of BH tightenings and have been advised to stay off work. Has anyone else had a similar experience and gone on to have baby early? I don't think I can stand another 7 weeks of waiting like this! Thanks in advance!

I don't have any advice but I had that test last night at my MAU but mine was negative they told me recent sex like 24-48 before the test can give false reading and also if there's alot of mucus inside it can cause a false reading too.

I had a positive FFN test at the weekend, had some contractions on Thursday and went in to get checked out on Fri, test was positive so they kept me in for the steroids, am only 26 weeks, have also been told to stay off work, am home now with my legs crossed! Still getting strong BH but not painful like they were on Thursday so hopefully settling down
