10 weeks and bleeding lightly

I'm about 10 weeks pregnant with my first child and started bleedin lightly on Saturday. It stopped yesterday but has started again today. It's still very light, but is pink, and is now quite consistent. I'll go to the GP in the morning and I'm trying hard not to worry. I've always been quite crampy and I don't think today is any worse. It's hard to tell. I know there's nothing really I can do, and that it could be quite normal - but it doesn't stop me worrying. Any advice, thoughts, experience would be appreciated.

Some bleeding in pregnancy is normal for some people, but it's always best to get checked out.
The best place to be seen is actually at an Early a Pregnancy Unit. A lot of hospitals have these and they specialise in these issues. Please call your local hospital to see if they have a unit as they'll be much more helpful than your GP. They are run by midwives and they are likely to scan you to see exactly what's happening.

Thank you so much for replying. Means a lot. The bleeding has got a lot heavier overnight and there have been some clots (sorry, TMI I'm sure). I've not got much sleep so I'm calling now to try and get in somewhere. Will let you know how I get on

Did you get through to the hospital and did you find out if there's an Early Pregnancy a unit near you?

I went to the GP this morning. one of the local early pregnancy units is closed, another hasn't an appointment until next week and the third can't see me until Thursday (we're lucky to have 3 big hospitals within 20miles). So I've booked something private this afternoon. I can't wait until Thursday.
My husband is with me - he's amazing. I've sent him off to work for a few hours and I'm going to try and get some rest. what a day!

Hi op I had bleeding at 11 weeks it was pink and watery or dark brown. I want to gp I was told pink or brown blood is usually fine but to worry if the blood was thick and bright red. My bleeding stopped after a few days. I'm sorry you are going though this. I have my fingers crossed for you.

So frustrating about the early pregnancy units availability, but good that you're getting seen privately this afternoon.
There's many different outcomes that could happen, so it's very hard to be prepared.
Have you had an ultra sound scan before?
It sometimes takes a while for them to find the baby as it's still very little at this stage of pregnancy. And the silence seems to last for forever. But as soon as they know what's happening, they'll let you know.
It's also your decision if you look at the screen or not.

Hi, sorry I've been quiet today. The scan showed that I've miscarried and it's likely the baby stopped developing a couple of weeks ago. Very sad but pleased to know. Been quite uncomfortable but hot water bottles and codeine are helping. Just need to ride it out. It's the strangest thing to grieve something you've never had but today is better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better again. thank you so much for your support and for thinking of me.

I'm so sorry, grieving is natural and a healthy thing to do, I hope you have lots of support in RL and I really wish you a speedy recovery, remember there's always someone on MN to talk to x

I'm so sorry to hear your update stackieb. Miscarriage is such a heartbreaking experience and so brutal.
Sadly I've experienced this horrible loss too, and I found a huge amount of comfort from these boards and the pregnancy loss section. You're never alone.
