NC for this completely embarrassing post. I'm a regular poster not some kind of weird troll!

I'm VERY pregnant and for pretty much this whole pregnancy I have been hugely swollen downstairs Blush My first pregnancy was nothing like this, I had a bit of swelling in my first tri, all calm in the second and a little bit close to the end.

This time it's been constant. DH and I haven't had sex since about March as the swelling has meant he's struggled to get it in and is been very painful if he has been able to.

Over the last week or so I've noticed that my clitorus has become quite sore, as well as the sensitive skin to the sides. I've finally bit the bullet and inspected with the hand mirror this morning and have noticed that it is so swollen that the skin has now cracked and is raw.

As you can probably appreciate, it's really painful! Is there anything I could safely apply for a bit of relief/to make it heal faster? Bag of frozen peas maybe? Hmm

That sounds shite OP. I saw your thread title and came on to say I get a bit of swelling, especially as the pregnancy progresses, and beautiful varicose veins down there Shock Shock but cracked and raw sounds bloody awful.

I'd be inclined to whack a bit of sudocreme on now and then ring midwife or gp on Monday.

NoMontagues · 29/08/2015 13:32

Oh and yes, maybe sudocreme then pants and then the peas. Can't hurt anyway.

soreandembarrassed · 29/08/2015 13:37

I'm just imagining DHs face walking into the bedroom, there's me, on the bed, legs akimbo, bag of peas at the crotch! GrinBlush
Will venture out (slowly) to purchase sudocreme!
Thanks!

Dignity goes out the window during this pregnancy lark eh? Grin

Oh god I had this, was awful! I could barely walk towards the end. I tried everything but the only slight relief came from cold natural yoghurt or a hot bath. I had to take some antibiotics towards the end of pregnancy and ended up with thrush on top of the swelling Shock

Metalhead · 29/08/2015 18:01

Oh no, it thought I had it bad, please don't tell me this is where I'm headed?! Shock I'm only 26 weeks but already really swollen down there...

dontfallonme · 29/08/2015 18:06

I also used to lay on the sofa with no knickers on and my legs open to 'air' in the evenings Blush . That did help slightly. Really have so much sympathy for you!

I'm a bit swollen down there.. looks pretty funny! But I'd second sudocream. . I have really raw cracked nipples and that works a treat.. it's antiseptic so will keep infections away.. aww bless.. I feel very sorry for you x
