Blood test result

Hi all. I had my booking in appointment this week and the various blood tests. Got a call from the midwife today to say I had high platelet count (I think she said 138 but from some googling that doesn't seem particularly high) and that I had to return for another test this week to check my B12 and folate levels. Again from a bit of googling, these seem to be associated with low platelet count. Anyone ever had this result before and know what it could mean? The midwife was not particularly forthcoming with information when she rang earlier! Thanks

138 a little bit low - most reference ranges are 150-400. May just be that they are slightly low and need a bit of vitamin supplementation.

Thanks madsaz, I thought low too, I think the lady on the phone may have been mistaken!
