Can someone please listen to me whingeing?!?!?! I am having a really bad few days, I havent been off the loo for nearly 2 days, dont no what is wrong with me, also have had tightenings across my stomach, and I keep thinking I am in labour but then feel daft thinking that as I am only 36 + 3, I have bad heartburn which gaviscon does nothing for it, my back is killing me, only at night & I cant stop cleaning & going into the babys room & re organising all her clothes!!! What is wrong with me, please someone say they are doing the same kind of things & its normal!?!?!

Do you think? I really do hope so, dont get me wrong I love the feeling of being pregnant, but I would rather her behere now!!! I am worried though, as I havent been to any antenatal classes yet, am starting them this week, so I am worried that I wont no what to do, or that I will be sitting here thinking I am in labour & feel like a twit when the midwife tells me I'm not, can you tell I am a first timer?!?!!

You're not whingeing, you're completely normal. For the first problem, speak to your GP or MW - they can give you things to sort it that won't harm your baby. In the meantime, drinking lots of water and eating plenty of fruit should help. The back ache is probably related to the fact that you are carrying more weight than usual around - my back and hips were excruciating at night when I was pg. I found acupuncture helped, but that may not be for everyone. Your GP/MW may be able to refer you for physio if that is appropriate. The tightening feeling you are getting could be your body preparing itself, but again, if you are concerned that this is not normal for you, then get some medical advice. As for the last bit, you are nesting! Don't worry yourself sick, do talk to your MW, that's what she is there for. And good luck over the next few weeks - my thoughts are with you

braxtons & wishful thinking ! 36 + 3 is a bit too early !!

it is all part of the body gearing up , ready for labour.....don;t wear yourself out cleaning and organising things....

baby will be here soon enough

difference between braxtons and real labour is the real ones don't stop ! the time between them diminishes, the intesnity increases and they are accompnaied by backache.

don;t wish the time away !

pregnancy can last 42 weeks...think of that as the end date and anything earlier is a bonus!

Thank you!! I always worry when i phone my midwife/GP that I am pestering them, I no I shouldnt feel like that, but I always worry that I am in the way!! Maybe I should phone her tmw just to have a word, as I have just noticed I have got loads of spots come up across my stomach which are itching like crazy, along with my attractive stretchmarks, and I have just madeone of them bleed, GREAT!

in the grand scheme of things..when you will have your baby for ever..another few weeks is nothign really! if it was so bad.we'd never do it more than once! pregnany is a beginning , not an end....you will have your baby before you know it....xx

shhhh · 26/11/2006 19:20

Don;t worry about the antenatal classes etc, the chances are you will get them done and usted before baby arrives BUT tbh I'm sure lots of women have given birth without these..I know how you feel though as I was the same..they just prepare you BUT remember if things don't go as planned the mw and hv will be on hand to help and advise you.
Make sure your bags are packed and ready to go and that your birth plan is complete, it may be an idea preparing yourself with pain relief methods etc just in case iykwim..also it make you top of the class at antenatal...!!

Don't worry about an false starts either..I spoke to my mw a few times a week with issues or problems I had and even went into hospital thinking labour had started only to be told they are braxton hicks..! Ooppss. Honestly they don't mind. I was also never off the phone to mw/hv once dd arrived so life doesn't change over night once baby arrives either.

Relax and take things easy but prepeare yourself...Our ds2b is due end of Jan and I'm sure that things won't be as straight forward as it was with dd..Hey ho..! Good luck xx

Roght I am starting to feel better today, apart from having a clear liquid constantly dribbling from me (SORRY!) , and it doesnt smell like wee, I cant believe I have just said that!! I am getting the twinges across my stomach still, but also getting like a pulsating feeling really low down, just above my pubic bone, should I be worried????

iF YOU'RE LEAKING A CLEAR FLUID THEN YOU SHOULD GET IT CHECKED - COULD POSSIBLY BE A HINDWATER LEAK. Sorry for caps Didn't mean to shout!
