Can't tell if I'm leaking!

Please advise me! I'm 39+4 and I'm worried my waters have started leaking. For the last couple of days I've had a bit of dampness in my knickers but some of it is definitely wee from the pressure. But today I felt like I could feel the occasional bit of liquid coming from my vagina, almost like when you have your period and you feel blood coming out sometimes. I asked my OH to look and he could see a drop or two - basically if it is my waters it's like the slowest leak ever. I don't know if I should go to triage or not over react? Thoughts on this would be much appreciated!

I'm no expert but I had a very similar experience. Midwives checked me over at 40+2, after two days of on/off dampness and they couldn't quite ascertain if waters were gone or not. I was induced and then when 6 cm dilated midwife said that my waters were intact.

She broke them and oh lord, the relief! The gush! The blessed feeling of utter relief. I think that next time I will definitely know when my waters break, but then again, something tells me that perhaps a leak could be just as likely Grin

Perhaps you could call your labour ward and ask for advice? I remember they told me to walk around with a pad for an hour a lot of good that did

Good luck OP Flowers

Always worth ringing for advice. I had it happen alot in my third trimester and it was just increased discharge but very watery. When my waters started slowly going I got small gushes everytime I got up from lying down or moved slightly. Usually triage say to pop a pad in and lay down for half an hour, if when you get up you get small gushes of water or you soak through the pad within an hour to call them back... it was something along those lines. . 12 weeks post birth means my memory is a little hazy.
