would prob be a good idea tutter. just til you get past the 12 week mark. i bled from 6-15 weeks with ds always after sex eventually doc said not to do it for a while. just for your own piece of mind

gothicmama · 26/11/2006 13:38

tutter stop it now, it isn't worth the risk, I had previous mc and ep so did nothing physical when found out prg with dd, you will get bacjk in shape after I promise

i see a personal trainer who specialises in ante and postnatal exercise, so he should know about risks etc

but i think i may make the decision for myself

wouldn't be able to forgivr myself if i miscarried now - would always think it was due to exercise

had a private scan yday - all was well and saw heartbeat. have nhs one booked for tues - wass going to cancel, but i may go now for peace of mind

yes, i was a restaraunt manager pre-ds and had to stop working out front coz of all the running around

gothicmama · 26/11/2006 13:42

the reassuarance is good, when I was prg with dd I bled the day after I saw the heart beat (6 weeks) and spent 2 days in bed, listen to your body , only you can hear this so don't feel pressured by anyone else or feel guilty

absolutely, speak to midwife then as well, do you have a consultant?

Tutter · 26/11/2006 14:00

no - we're moving house next week so i haven't even asked my gp to book me in here

at scan ask midwife if there is a consultant free for you to speak to. with your history they can't refuse. spotting is v normal especially at this phase but just to be on safe side.

Tutter,

Keep exercising, but try lower impact exercises, like an eliptical machine. Also lighten the weight load.

I was diagnosed with a hemorrhage when I was 7 weeks. The ultrasonographer I last saw told me that putting too much strain on our abdominals can cause hemorrhages which are harmless and common, but can cause bleeding.

The best advice she gave me was that as pregnant women we have to baby our baby's house.

Personally, having had several m/cs, I wouldn't risk it. I know that if I carried on exercising in the face of it causing obvious bleeding and then m/c'd I would always blame myself, whether it was related or not.
