Second pregnancy - huge!

I know the reasons why it's happened but am still a tad concerned about just how huge I am at just three months pregnant.

For my first pregnancy, three years ago, I was very big at the end too as my son was 15 days late - I was a very petite size 6/8 before then thanks to our recent wedding and am only 5ft 1, so there isn't a whole lot of room for a big baby to hide!

This time I am a bit bigger to start with (8/10) but at 3 months I just feel and look HUGE. The baby is measuring average size and the sonograpgher confirmed it's merely to do with being stretched before but has anyone else worried about the same?

It's almost comical but I am just a tad concerned just how gigantic I am going to be by month 9 and I already feel quite front-heavy and achy which I only recall far far later on in my first pregnancy.

Any shared woes appreciated!

Afternoon Mrsb

I was only saying to DH last night that I'm not sure they'll even sell clothes big enough for me in 10w. I'm currently 21w (with DC5) and am growing out of some of my maternity clothes, and like you, am feeling the aches of later pregnancy. I can't even say that the baby had nowhere to grow - I'm 5'8 and a 14/16.

I think I'm just going to have to get used to the shock on people's faces' when I tell them baby isn't due until NYE... Grin

Yup I'm right there with you. I'm 27 weeks and everyone thinks I'm about to pop. I'm going to have to be cut out of the house when I do go into Labour in fucking November

I had a normal sized bump for first pregnancy, but with my second pregnancy I was huge, I remember my bump measured 38 weeks when I was about 31 weeks. This time around seems the same thing! I'm 21 weeks but looks much further along. With second pregnancy I didn't find a huge amount of growth from 32 weeks onward though, if that helps. Also, I carried my first more in my hips and across my body, whereas my second and current I've been carrying right out front and high (although have a high anterior placenta and so that is apparently contributing to this)

Third pregnancy, am only 3 months, but look about 6 months.

I was convinced it was twins, but the midwife said it's just your body has done it all before.

Am dreading the 'when are you due' questions by random strangers. Might just start lying instead of saying I'm only 3 months!! Grin

Hi and congrats everyone. I am 11 wks into my second pregnancy and by FAR am much bigger already than last time! I have bump photos on the computer from last pregnancy four years ago so am going to try and take bump pics at the same number of weeks as last time to compare. The first pic I had last time was 13 weeks, it is comical how small my 'bump' was compared to now yet I was so excited about it and thought it was significant enough to photograph! :) also my boobs have taken on a life of their own! Seem to be ballooning by the day! Last time I was HUGE at 40 weeks and larger than anyone else in my parenting class even though I was due later than them, I think this time my hubbie is going to have to cart me around in a wheelbarrow by then!

Ha ha. It's good to know I'm not alone at least :)

If one more person (my own husband is guilty and I have a total sense of humour loss) makes one of their unoriginal "sure it isn't twins?!" comments or looks shocked when I tell them how far I am..I may not be held liable for my actions!! x
