Hi I have a couple of questions to ask.
First is this. I'm 9 weeks 6 days today and have been given my dating scan for today which is a little early I think. Will they have to re scan me nearer twelve weeks or will this just be my only scan until the anomaly scan?
Not having the nuchal test.

Second I work in an in closed environment and the last few weeks I've noticed people smoking e-cigs . They also smoke it on the free transport my work provides as well. Does this pose risk to my baby?

Thanks

I don't know about scans.

As for e-cigs... again I don't know for sure but I believe it's up to your employer whether they allow people to use these inside. In my work they're banned, but as it's not smoke there is no specific law addressing this. However, the risk is completely unknown as to passively 'smoking' the fumes from these, so I would raise it with your hr department or line manager if no hr. I would brace yourself for being unpopular though if your colleagues are told not to use them in work though. I had similar concerns about a colleague who used to use one in the staff canteen (even though the building managers had put posters up saying they're not to be used inside) so stopped taking my lunch with her rather than address it. I'm non-confrontational though, and she's an entitled madam so I went for the easy option!

Congratulations on your pregnancy Flowers

We've just had a comprehensive review of ecigarette safety by Public Health England. There is actually a fair amount of data now, although obviously not as much as there is for smoking, which has been around for a lot longer. On your question, PHE concluded: EC release negligible levels of nicotine into ambient air with no identified health risks to bystanders.

E cigs basically only release water vapour and a small amount of nicotine. However if you're worried then ask HR to review this as part of your pregnancy risk assessment.

The scan- if you aren't having the nuchal test then it's unlikely they'll rescan you in a few weeks. I know they do if you are having it.

Congratulations! Flowers

I was scanned last week without the nuchal test. The baby was measuring small for dates, so they thought I was only 11+1 along. They asked me to come back in a couple of weeks to be rescanned, as the baby wasn't quite big enough to do all the anatomy checks.

Thanks.
I am being re scanned in about two and a half weeks.
