Taking Clomid with PCOS - did it work for you?

I have finally been given Clomid as my periods are irregular and I have the symptoms of PCOS. I don't know much about it but have read online that it doesn't always have much effect on women with PCOS. I have been prescribed 50mg a day. I would love to hear from anyone who has taken it with PCOS and how it affected your cycle and ability to conceive. Thank you!

Yes it worked for me :) I have 2 daughters as a result of taking it. I have since managed to have a son without help and I'm currently expecting another boy, something I never thought possible in my wildest dreams!

Hi arty I was prescribed 50mg clomid as also suffered with PCOS - worked first month of trying and my DD is now 2. I'm currently expecting my second DC and conceived him naturally! I know clomid doesn't necessarily work for everyone but most women I've spoken with have had successful pregnancies from using it!! Good luck

Thanks for your replies. I'm glad it worked for you. Does it make you ovulate earlier? I Ovulate around cd28 so quite late.

I have PCOS and was just about to start clomid after 2.5 years of trying for number 2. I fell pregnant naturally in the month before I was due to start meds.

IIRC I ovulated on CD16 on Clomid but wasn't ovulating at all before so have nothing to compare it too.

I have PCOS, I'm 16 weeks pregnant. Had 2 cycles of 50mg Clomid, worked on the 2nd cycle.
