Weaker movements at 28 weeks

Hi hoping someone else has experience of this because I'm not sure what to do.

Today I got up quite late, around 10, and by 1ish realised I'd not felt baby move. I wasn't too worried because I was out and about and he usually moves more when I'm resting. I got home around half 3 and went for a lie down with a glass of iced water and some chocolate. I felt a few flutters but nothing as strong as usual. I fell asleep and when I woke went out for dinner and had a Pepsi. Since I've been home resting I've felt quite a bit of definite movement but not as strong as usual. Dh suggested maybe the baby had changed position like the previous time I didn't feel much but the movements I do feel are in the usual place so I'm not sure.

Should I be worried? And who do I call at this time if I need to? My midwives are closed after 4:30 and the dau at the hospital closed at 6.

Thanks for reading and any advice

If you are worried, and you sound like you are, please contact your hospital and go in for monitoring.

Please contact the midwives at your hospital. They will be more than happy to check you over.

Hi OP, How are you doing now? I am going through the exact same thing as you. Have had reduced movements this week, still felt baby move but movements have been a lot fewer, weaker and more just flutters and slight squirms in the very bottom of my belly.

Flambola · 20/08/2015 11:53

Always go and get yourselves checked out if you feel reduced to no movements.

mummypig3 · 20/08/2015 11:58

Did you get checked out op?

Luciferbox · 20/08/2015 11:58

Go get it checked out. I had this a few times with DS2 and the worry was horrible, after a quick monitor and check I felt a million times better.
