Probably gonna be sat in EPU.... Pregnancy after miscarriage

So went to the loo and there was some brown blood when I wiped... Granted not a lot but it was there :-( this is exactly how it started last time.

I'm potentially 5/6 weeks preg, not sure because we got preg straight after the mc. Ended up in EPU last week as they needed to check everything was 'new' they scanned and only saw a sac. This is the same picture we saw when we mc so it has been hard to cope with the last few days. Told us to wait a week and to be scanned again. Hcg numbers were good.

I'm so scared... If this doesn't end well I actually don't think I can do it again :-(

So sorry you're going through this. No advice or anything just wanted to send you positive thoughts and hand holding.

Take heart from your hcg levels being good! They are such a good indicator of how things are progressing. Bleeding is not an indication of anything necessarily, especially old brown blood although I understand your concern given your previous miscarriage.

5/6 weeks is just too early to see much. The interminable wait to get far enough along for a second scan is just horrible - we had a similar experience after a scan at what turned out to be 5+6 and then a week later the flickering heartbeat was there.

When is your follow up scan? Wishing the minutes away quickly for you and keep positive until proven otherwise was my mantra...

It's on Friday. The first scan was last Thursday. I feel so horrible and scared :-( I've had more symptoms this time round, feeling sick and tired but all I can think it bad x

I think it's natural to think the worst, it's a self-preservation thing to prepare yourself for the worst. I had some pink when wiping at about 6 weeks and worried massively about it but it was a one off.

It's a scary time but please please remember that although you sadly experienced a loss last time that does not mean that is what is happening this time. There are SO many threads and subsequent stories with ladies experiencing blood when wiping which then go on to be fine (I have read lots of threads since 6 weeks!)

You're already doing great if there's been nothing further since Thursday, that's nearly a week already...

Just wanted to say I know how you feel but may have a positive slant to put on things.

I've had several miscarriages so, when during my current pregnancy I started to have brown spotting at about 6 or 7 weeks I was completely devastated and assumed it was all over yet again. However, I'm now 23 weeks and still hanging in there. I've had a few more weeks of spotting along the way and am obviously not out of the woods yet but I just keep telling myself that at the moment I am still pregnant.

My point is, I know how it feels to have that 'oh no, please not again' feeling of complete despair. It's just horrible and I really feel for you. But, signs are in your favour - a good HCG level is an excellent sign and so is feeling sick and tired. Really hope things work out for you.

The blood has continued this morning and now have period like aches. Phoned the EPU they said to wait it out till Friday and have the scan. If it's bad I just want to know the wait is crushing me :-(((

I had the same, after previous loss I had given up hope. It had taken me 2 years to fall pregnant again. But, I am righting this with my new born on my chest. i really hope your like me and it is just a tiny bit of old blood.

So sorry you're going through this horrible wait. I have everything crossed for you.

So a night with no sleep and feeling sick with nerves we had the scan..... We saw a heart beat! Waiting to talk to doc about the blood but all is looking good :-) thanks so much everyone x
