Daft question but I'm a bit neurotic as its my first pregnancy.

My baby is carrying quite low, I'm 21 weeks and I can feel him (its a boy) underneath my belly button but not above it... Is this normal? I'm worried that he's not growing.

Also I can't work out if I'm feeling him move or not which is also worrying me.. What is it supposed to feel like.

His heart beat is absolutely fine - I have a doppler and can hear him.

Any ideas?

I carried ds very low (for my scan they practically had to stick the thingy up my ...well you get the idea).

Also I didn't feel movement until I was further along.

My pregnancy was practically perfect and ds was fine.

Being neurotic is part of being pregnant. Anything you are worried about ask your midwife, they will have heard it all before.

Congratulations and good luck for the rest of your pregnancy.

You're supposed to be neurotic as a first time mother! Anyway, he sounds fine to me, the first movements are not regular anyway, they feel like a fluttering a bit like wind - everyone says this, but it's true! His position sounds OK too, you're only 21 weeks, he's not going to be too high up yet, he'll grow a lot later on. Discuss your worries with your midwife, she will be able to reassure you that everything is well and she'll be able to show you how your measurements relate to his growth and that everything is progressing well.

Good luck, and ask any questions you want to, we're all glad to help.
