Maternity pads?!?!

Hi,

Quick question...

This may be very silly but what's the difference between maternity pads and normal period heavy duty pads?

Do I really need to buy these?

If I do should I get the pants with the high absorbency or just use pads?

Thanks

Maternity pads it is then! Thank you ladies.

Another quick question...

there is the disposable pant version or the ones you put in your own knickers.

Any preference?

Thanks

I couldn't bear disposable pants personally. Cheap supermarket pants in a massive size and pads for me.

M&S big knickers ( old lady variety ) are brilliant. They feel secure and if you end up with a csection they don't irritate stitch or incision.

I think maternity pads are softer and probably more absorbent, but also and most important very well padded, and after popping out a baby you'll be grateful for the padding!!

I came here to say TENA pants too! No risk of leaks and not bulky. Though I used a maternity pad inside too for the first couple of days.
