I've been having lactulose, I eat fruit n fibre for breakfast, drink LOADS of water and eat lots of fruit and veg so had to get some help from lactulose as I was at a loss of what to do!

FernGullysWoollyPully · 09/08/2015 19:35

Lactulose is completely safe. I only needed 2 doses for it to sort me. You can buy it if you haven't time for a prescription, a big Bottle was about £4.

Hellionandfriends · 09/08/2015 19:37

Water and dried apricots

duckbilled · 09/08/2015 20:19

Water, dried apricots AND a dose of lactulose is my saviour Wink

cathpip · 09/08/2015 20:25

Lactulose is my saviour, 2 doses have sorted me right out, could have kissed the dr who prescribed it :)

TheHormonalHooker · 09/08/2015 20:29

If you try prune juice, OP, try a small glass first. I made the mistake of a full glass after I had had major surgery and limited mobility. Take it from me it works well!

twinsandapenguin · 10/08/2015 10:19

Prune juice is very good, plus lots of water. Lactulose if it gets really bad

notascooby007 · 10/08/2015 10:25

Hot water with a slice of lemon in always does the trick for me

cloudjumper · 10/08/2015 12:49

Prunes, prune juice, a tablespoon of linseeds, lots of fibre and water, water, water. Lactulose for more serious problems, but I only use it as a last resort, it give me awful wind!
