Hello ashamed to say this I had unprotected sex with a 1 night stand about 14/15 days ago.
I was on day 6-7 of my cycle so thought I would be safe.
My periods are always all over some months early some months late.
The last couple of days I've felt shattered, literally can't keep my eyes open.
My boobs are sore but I'm thinking it's probably pms isn't it?surely I wouldn't be ovulating day 6?
I just want to sleep all the time and I've got a lot of discharge.
I'm worrying because a couple of days after sex I noticed I had lots of clear stringy discharge ( normally get it when I ovulate )
It should be fine shouldn't it ?
More than likely pms symptoms?
I wouldn't get pregnant that early in cycle would I ?

Sperm can live up to 72 hrs inside you I think, so if you think you ovulated a couple days after then it's entirely possible you are.

Today I have so much clear discharge so I'm hoping that I'm ovulating now and that's causing my achy back.

You should go to the clinic if you have had unprotected sex. Plus you have discharge and little pains.

BexusSugarush · 09/08/2015 15:54

VixxFace is absolutely right; if you had unprotected sex (especially with a one-night stand) then pregnancy is only one of your concerns. Go to a clinic immediately. If you are worried about being pregnant, only a pregnancy test will tell you that, and not for a few weeks yet most likely.

Junosmum · 09/08/2015 15:58

Yeah sounds like an std. You might get a positive on a 1st response test now but if you do test and it's negative do it again in a week and get tested for an std!

CarrotVan · 09/08/2015 16:14

Sperm can live for a week so you don't need to near ovulation to be at risk of pregnancy. Take an First Response test and get yourself to a Sexual Health clinic

MissSMartin · 09/08/2015 16:27

I conceived on day 8 so entirely possible! and in the right cervical mucus it can live up to 7 days (as per nhs website).. like others have said i would just to make sure your safe aswell x

It could be HIV that presents as flu like tiredness, aches and pains at first.
Sounds like you got more than you bargained for.

Go to a clinic, sorry, but sounds like you're infected with something, and you need testing.

whatthehell2015 · 09/08/2015 16:43

The man I had a one night stand with is a ex boyfriend and I know he doesn't have HIV, we only split up a few weeks ago so I doubt he has been putting it around

If, as far as you know, you're a fertile woman, then it's always a possibility.

Took us years to conceive and as a veteran symptom spotter I can attest that pretty much every premenstrual symptom matches up with an early pregnancy one. The only way is to know is to test.

Fwiw, don't be offended at the suggestion of std checks. It's a good idea anyway and truthfully you don't know what he's been up to and it only takes once. Some of the scarier stuff can often have no symptoms what so ever and lay dormant for years, definitely worth a checkup every now and then regardless of your or your partners habits.

CarrotVan · 09/08/2015 17:34

HIV would not show up this quickly anyway

poisonedbypen · 09/08/2015 17:38

Conceived on day 8 here too.

bestguess23 · 09/08/2015 17:45

We did on day 7 and my edd puts conception at day 9 so definitely possible.

Well I deffo think I'm just coming down with something thank god.
Woke up and feel like rubbish no energy and a bit sickly,my back still a bit achy.
No doubt i have caught some flu bug, rather that than the baby bug at the moment ;-)

I'm sure everyone here will agree with me that you should still go to a clinic, due to the unprotected sex.

VixxFace · 10/08/2015 19:38

Some stds can have the type of symptoms you describe.

AnnieOnAMapleLeaf · 10/08/2015 19:44

It sounds like an STI. Unless the discharge you described is normal for you? Get yourself to a clinic asap.

sarkymare · 10/08/2015 20:00

I would say your symptoms lean more towards an STI than pregnancy. Please do go for a sexual health check.
