how long should you bleed for after having a baby?

I think "up to nine weeks" is what I've heard. In my case it was five -- I've heard of some women for whom it was only one or two.

I only bled for 2 weeks, then some odd spotting etc, it was still pretty unpleasent.

Bit of a shock actually, after not having a period for so long... but you get used to it.

Can't remember exactly but it was a while..around 4-6 weeks..?

i did for about 5 weeks

err... i bled for about 3 or 4 i think

about 4 I think

I bled for 8 weeks!!
