is it safe to have sex while pregnant i know u can but i just wondered if it should be after 12 weeks or what sorry if i sound totally stupid x

Hi nadine - I've asked that question during my first PG and was told its absolutely fine - we had sex through my pregnancies and its all been fine. You may have to steer clear of any acrobatics though!

Hm, actually sexual intercourse is generally (unless adviced against on medical grounds) fine all through pg! However, I found that when pregnant I tendet to bleed after sex which put me off, after having 2 m/c's and both time the bleeding started after sex....but that is just sue to my personal experience, if you know what I mean!

I think it is safe to have sex at any time unless you have a history of m/c or something. My partner and I even had sex when I had already been in labour for 2 and a 1/2 hours.

thanks girls i had a missed mc in march and this time (im 7 weeks) hubby has been on sex ban and i think he feels he is going to explode, i had scan today and all is well just wondered what u thought x

Nadine, I had a miscarriage last year and bled at 10 + 3 with this pregnancy (currently 33 wks) so me and DP haven't 'done it' since July. We did it a few times and I bled a bit afterwards so it put me off. Poor DP understands but I compensate by doing other things to keep him happy!
