Early pregnancy scan? Any recommendations?

Wonder if anyone London-based can help - I have literally just found out I'm pregnant, and for various reasons I'm a bit concerned and want a scan before the NHS nuchal / 12 weeks one to reassure me that this is a viable pregnancy. Has anyone had a private early pregnancy scan at 7 weeks+ in London? I don't need anything complicated just a basic early scan. I had my DS at Chelsea & Westminster and I think the Kensington Wing there offers them, but I have not spoken to anyone that's had one. Does anyone have any personal experience of this? ll help much appreciated! :-)

I'd also recommend FMC. I had a lot of problems throughout pregnancy and so ended up being sent for scans constantly to check things were ok. The EPU at my hospital was always able to scan but our NHS consultant recommended we do Harmony test as I wasn't stable enough to do CVS, so we went to FMC for that as only available privately. The scan was far more thorough than NHS where they were obviously more limited on time, so we found it very reassuring.

Hi there
Just to be clear - I have no aversion to the NHS, they were great with my DS, C&W were really good... the only thing I would say is that, despite having CBT for anxiety on my medical records they were not keen to adjust my treatment plan or choices at all on the basis of the anxiety. I'm sure I could have battled and battled for it, but frankly, there are not enough hours in the day, and I am happy to pay for the scan myself and save some NHS resources for others. I'm sure there are good options, but I work full time and can only go for scans out of office hours. So I really appreciate your thoughts bittapitta and leadcrow but the NHS options for early scans are not really going to work for me, so happy to pay privately.
Thanks again,
Emma
