Been really sick this morning and I'm so tired no matter how much sleep I get its never enough. Coping with two kids under 4. Mum come round to see I'm struggling. Bear in the she lives literally 5 doors down. Her advice is take your jumper off and have some water.
If I came round to see my daughter in this state Id send her to bed and take the kids for a while. Wouldn't you?

I personally would, yes. But I suppose she's actually not obliged to help, even if it is the nice thing to do! Sorry you're struggling Sad

If I saw my friend struggling like that I'd offer to have the kids for a few hours!

Have you been checked for anemia?

I would help absolutely. But people are different and some people like to be asked to help she might not want to seem like she's interfering - I would call her up as she's so close and ask her to take the kids to hers for a while. :)

I'm in your exact position and there's 12 months between each of my children which is utterly exhausting. Although it's my choice to have children (although not so close together) and they're my responsibly, it would be great to have a little help in the home. I asked my non working mother for an hour or so of her time once a week so that I can catch up on jobs in the home but the look on her face was priceless. My MIL is retired and also refused to help.

Maybe i smell!

I would too but my mum is like yours. It sucks. I don't think there's anything you can do- whenever I suggest that she might want to give me a break, she'll just insinuate I'm being entitled and 'she never had anyone to give her a break'.
I'm going to be very different with my kids when they have their own.
