I'm really sorry about this folks, I have turned into one of those annoying pple who post multiple threads asking basically the same question, but am struggling here with this complete surprise 4th pg.

Its very different and I suppose I'm worrying about lots of the unknowns with dates and bleeding. But other 3 - quite sick, last one very very sick. Couldn't face tea, coffee, wine anything that makes life worthwhile. This one, okay slightly sick, but can still drink the odd wine and just had to have coffee as had massive headache from withdrawal I think.

Pls someone give me reassuring stories re quite diff pgs. Now I am pg I guess I'm wanting it to be okay.

sorry I have only been pregnant once so cant help you but didnt want this to go unanswered. I have heard every pregnancy is different so I would try not to worry too much. Congratulations!

With my 4th pregnancy I had hardly any symptoms - so few in fact that I didn't even know I was pg until about 9 weeks, whereas with the others I knew even before my period was due. I was only slightly nauseous and slightly tired, didn't show until much later than with the others. It was a great pregnancy though, I felt so well right up until the end.

How many weeks do you think you are? If you've been bleeding could you ask for an early scan?

niceglasses · 23/11/2006 11:41

The trouble is partly that I don't know how many weeks I am - have been to GP and she didn't see pt in arranging scan because bleeding has stopped, but very confused re dates and I would like a nuchal as I'm pushing 40.

niceglasses, don't you think you're neurotic at all. or if you are, then so am i.. i had nausea flled first pregnancy - sick from before i got a BFP and then literally until the moment my DS was out of me.. this time my my sense of smell was super-acute - and i was tired and a bit bolshy, but that was it. and frankly the last two are not unusual... now am only 5 weeks or so but don't feel anything - not in my boobs, not in my head, nothing. just knackered and don't know whether to thank stars or worry.... such a strange thing, pregnancy! hope this a) provides some comfort for you and b) encourages others to tell us about their experiences, like you i need some reassurance. good luck xx

niceglasses - I'm unexpectedly pg with no.3 (12 weeks gone now).

And I've had LOTS of worrying moments in the last few weeks, I haven't put on ANY weight (piled it on with both DS's), I've been sick occasionaly, and occasionaly nauseous - but not like I was with the DS's, it's just been so different - I was convinced it had all gone wrong and I'd had a missed M/C or even blighted ovum.........until I went for my dating scan yesterday and saw the baby - perfectly happy and chilled out, little heartbeat and absolutely fine.

Thanks for replying - it is reassuring. I guess I've just come to associate my pgs with quite bad nausea - and with the bleeding etc am expecting the worst. However, onwards and upwards. Thanks again.

niceglasses - hiya

My third pregnancy was a bit like this - I couldn't believe it was real because I had done a home pregnancy test and kept thinking, what if I was wrong? Until I saw ds squirming around on the screen (not that he looked like a baby, more like a skittle ), I was worried that someone was going to tell me I wasn't pregnant at all, it was just my imagination!

One very common symptom of pregnancy, IMO, is to become a serial worrier. I am not a worrier by nature, but found myself getting obsessed over little things whilst pregnant. It's natural.
