Trapped Wind!?

Hello!
Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of wind?.. my whole abdomen is so tender and it's lasting a few hours a time a couple of times aday.. but it won't come out lol
its driving me insane!!

Peppermint tea, lying down on side, hip swivelling

Walk it off! It's the best way.

I've had awful trapped wind! It's so so painful!! I find sitting in a deep bath for a while helps although I don't know if that's just me!

I had this for weeks every afternoon, it was so awful! Tried windeze tablets but found they made it worse. Dont know how far along you are but with me the only thing that helped was positioning - lying on my left side in bed with my right leg bent with knee as far up as it would go. Or squatting plus leaning forward. Could always release it with those 2!

After a few wind free weeks tonight at 27 weeks it came back and oh my god I didn't realise how much my organs have moved! The pain was right around my ribcage and I really thought I was going to have a heart attack! But no a good old pump sorted it out

Twinings do a tea called digestif tea, one cup of that and the wind will be gone. Sometimes it goes up the way, sometimes down but it always works one way or the other!

baking soda mixed with milk or water works amazing! walk around a bit after drinking it. it's horrible but worth the taste to get rid of pain (check if safe in pregnancy - I imagine it should be .... I've been taking it since a small child as I suffer terribly)

I had terrible bloating and trapped wind, so painful the midwife suspected a n ectopic pregnancy. A mumsnetter recommended peppermint tea and getting down on all 4s and rocking back and forth whilst wiggling my bum in the air like a "sexy alley cat" (her words). I felt like a complete tit but it really helped!

I had awful trapped wind after my emcs, the pain of the wind was worse than the pain from the section. The hospital gave out tablets containing mint oil, they were amazing. Anything containing peppermint oil will work so peppermint sweets, cordial or tea should all help.

thanks so much ladies! Great tips there. . ill be prepared for dinner time when it usually starts to kick in.. not sure who asked but im 15+2 but I've had it right from the start.. i also thought the pain could have been an eptopic at first as it was always on my landhand side in the same place.

Well, for trapped wind. Not for sex or attracting stray cats or anything else...

Get on all fours, make sure your wrists are under your shoulders so you don't hurt them, then make gentle figures of 8 with your hips.

Laying on your left side can help. I've always found that going onto all fours --and crawling around like a cat/nutter/ also helps with release lol fig rolls help too (and their yummy too x)

I find crouching helps. Really deep squats and walking. A balance ball might be useful as you could also lean over it to take some weight.

I find making myself burp helps, like a false burp a few times, then a real one seems to follow soon.
Also drinking hot water, as hot as you can
And doing some exercise every day, even if only a bit of walking, this seems to help prevent it

Rennie do something called 'deflatine'. Honestly, I don't know how I would of survived the last 33 weeks without them! Genuinely thought I've been in labour the pain has been so bad sometimes, a couple of those bad boys gets things moving, and quickly!
They sell them in Tesco for Bout a fiver, yellow box.
