Hey, I'm 36 week today and over the last few days I've had quite bad back cramping but nothing I can't handle. I've also had pains in my stomach and I have dropped too... I was just wondering if anyone experienced this in the run up to labour starting? Could I expect to go into labour in the next few days? I've also had pain/twinges downstairs too along with pressure which feels like I need the loo! Sorry tmi but I just need to know if these are signs! Thanks in advance, this is my first by the way.

My first dd I was induced (not nice as it's forced and wouldn't like to go through that again). my second ds started naturally with losing my plug on a Tuesday a.m. then the Wednesday started with heavy period type cramps intermittently till the Friday morning then became really regular and painful all day Friday. was sent home from hospital on Wednesday night and Friday mornings after checkups as was only 2cm dilated. went in at 6pm Friday was 6cm and delivered 9pm. good luck Smile x

for me in active labour my contractions felt live a vice around my hips tightening so tight I felt I couldn't breathe. it's the only was I could describe the contractions. when you need to push it's like you are about to do a poo (sorry tmi!) and there's absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. it's your body working and all you can do is go with it and push it out lol. it can be difficult to understand for a first time mum but you'll soon see what I mean when it happens! Smile x
