Pain in the thigh

Hi there.
Just curious to know if there is anyone else having this kind of pain.
It started out this week with a quite warming sensation and strong numbness in my left thigh and then progressed to moments of intense burning and almost a stabbing sensation. Today I could not even sit on the chair.
It happens only after walking a little bit.
Has anyone ever experienced something like that?
I checked online and it sounds like a condition called "meralgia paresthetical" (caused by baby position and the pressing of a sensory nerve) or it could be merely due to bad blood circulation.
Anyway, when it happens is painful!!!! Any idea how to make it go away???
Thank you

I've had numbness and occasional pain in one thigh since about 18 weeks. Its not often painful but when I walk the numbness is quote unpleasant.

I had merelgic paraesthesia too. What made it better was rest and not walking so far. Since the baby has arrived I haven't had it at all, so there is hope there. :-)

I've had this since around 15 weeks...

It has got better, in that it doesn't seem to hurt so much, but I do wonder if that's more because I've got used to it! I'm now 33 weeks!

I had this in my last pregnancy. It felt like either a bad electric shock or a cigarette being stubbed out on my thigh. Used to make me jump!

I'm dreading developing it again this time around. I think last time it was caused by me wearing my non-maternity jeans for too long and them squeezing my nerve.

I used to get it when I had a coil fitted. I think there's a nerve in the uterus it can rest on.

I've had this from 14 weeks, am currently 28 weeks. I found it got progressively worse over the first few weeks to the point where I couldn't walk more than a few meters without it starting to hurt. I have found that Physio has helped significantly. My appointments were weekly to start off with, now I am going every 2 - 3 weeks. It is definitely money well spent. I managed to walk 30 minutes without any issues this week. I would of thought nothing of this before getting pregnant as I was very active, but now it is an achievement! I have been told to expect it to last until after the birth when it should get better.
