First pregnancy & I'm 38+5wks. Was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this measurement of 29.9 centile? I asked MW and she said its size of baby but didn't give any more info. Could someone explain? Also does this mean baby is on the small side or larger?

She said baby is growing averagely as I've had growth scans every 4wks since 20wk scan due to GD x

It means of 100 babies including yours, 29 would be smaller than yours and 70 would be larger.

What takestwo said, they then use it to track baby's growth once born, my DD was on the 50th centile so they follow the growth line for that centile on checks and look out for drops. They should either follow the gradient for that centile or go higher.

My lb was on the 25th centile when he was born and was 7lb 9oz
