OMG pain! Is this the baby engaging?

In the last 12 hours I have gone from doing everything normally including looking after toddler etc. In the night I started to get awful back/pelvis pain which hasn't gone and I can barely walk. Didn't have this last time. Is the baby engaging? I'm 36+3 eeek!

Possibly. Do you have a midwives appointment soon. I had pain around that time with my DD mainly because she was back to back (then she went to breech, then Frank's breech, then engaged - she was a wriggler) at that time...
