Your 'favourite' thing about pregnancy?

Mine would have to be peeing when I sneeze/cough.

It's such a part of life now that I'm not even fazed, I just calmly walk myself to the nearest toilet to finish what was started.

My sickness has been quite bad and when I am sick it comes with such verocity it comes out my nose .... The joys of pregnancy

Ooooh theres so many to choose from

theres the constant indigestion, restless legs,cramp,piles, contstant sneezing and pissing myself everyday......5 weeks until its all over

I'm not even going to be 'ironic' here because I'm so terribly smug that I've actually never felt better since becoming pregnant (37+1) and I haven't had any of the sickness/aches/toilet trouble/weight gain/swelling and various assorted woes associated with pregnancy that all I want to do is brag!

naively ignores all the received wisdom about 'easy pregnancy, horrific labour' and my inevitable comeuppance in a few weeks' time

beautiful skin and hair.

I was glowing (probably the lack of booze)

Bottles of Tesco 'gaviscon' in my car, handbag, office desk, and every room in the house .

Constipation. Deep joy.

Spots, heartburn, piles, not being able to get comfy.

Wouldn't change it for the world though as this is a miracle pregnancy so I feel really lucky.

Oh, I pee every time I pick DS up (he's 18mo) then he cries when I put him down. It's a fun game.

Chin hairs longer than my actual hair that spring up overnight are AWESOME

I'm really enjoying the SPD which means I can't walk, sit, lie down . . . the only time I'm comfortable is when I am floating in water so until I get a giant mobile bath I can take to work . . . Oh, and the acid reflux which has me waking up choking on my own stomach acid. That's lovely too.

Waking up desperate for a wee, heaving with morning sickness and having to decide which need to address first.

I am lush.

I love sounding like a thirty stone asthmatic every time I walk up a flight of stairs.

Having to put a towel down in front of the toilet so that the floor doesn't get wet when I pee myself as I am vomiting.

Then another great thing was being my sisters birthing partner and watching her go through labour, have stitches and for the midwife to pop a finger up her bum to make sure no stitches had caught her anal passage... so much to look forward to!

Oh this thread has cheered me up no end! Ah, it's funny cause it's true.

I love having to sleep on the sofa cause I can't get comfy in bed. I am really enjoying the endless heartburn and the severe leg cramps that have me walking like a 90-year old. It'll be worth it in the end though - a whole 19 weeks away...

the bloat. I'm nine weeks, but I look like I'm six months. Ahhh the joy of second pregnancies and pre-stretched tummy muscles.

The endless mind-fogging and all consuming tiredness even now I'm in the midst of the 2nd trimester when I'm meant to be all energy and purpose!

Can't wait for how bouncy I'm going to feel in the third trimester!

Lying in bed at night and feeling the baby move inside. Amazing.

the gestational diabetes is looking like a rollercoaster of delicious food and constantly pricking or injecting myself. the patch of eczema that has arrived on my arm is a beautiful shade of red that matches my nose perfectly after blowing it so many times to no avail with hayfever/pregnancy rhinitis.

the swollen ankles and feet that look like cushions are always good for a laugh, which I need to cope with the heartburn and painful wrists and hips from sleeping on my side. I didn't want any sleep anyway, so getting up every hour for a wee is a wonderful way to stick to that.

and who doesn't love looking like a killer whale?

it's lucky this baby is already the centre of my world and I can't wait for her to get here!

Negatives: having HG, heartburn, SPD, vomiting on bathroom wall and floor because SPD makes it hard to bend over in time, nipples gluing themselves to bra because of colsotrum leakage... having to sit down every 30mins because my hips hurt... feeling constantly saddle-sore.

Positives: Feeling baby move, even when he's somersaulting and it feels like driving too fast over a humpback bridge it's still magical! Excuse to buy new clothes and live in really comfortable stretchy things. Drinking Costa mint choc-chip creamy-cooler things every time i go out (because they help nausea of course )... feeling extra close to DH and more in love with him than ever (in 3rd trimester i feel overwhelmed by love and affection for him, unlike first 2 trimesters where I felt cold and moody!)
So far I'm enjoying 3rd trimester a lot more than other trimesters! Maybe because the finish line is in sight...

The constant acid reflux thing is no fun. Nor is the throwing up without warning whilst brushing my teeth, and simultaneously peeing myself.

That said, I AM enjoying not having to suck my belly in anymore due to belly fat haha! And of course, I love the fuzzy feeling of imagining what my baby is going to look like, how my life will change etc.

The rhinitis that progressed into a green-snot sinus infection that made it impossible to breathe, that was my favorite part last week.

This week, it's got to be the waking up from sleep three or four times a night with the "oh god, I have to vomit" feeling, and needing to sit straight up, take antacids, swallow repeatedly, and breathe deep for 15 minutes to avoid ending up vomiting and getting it in my nostrils (and thus re-igniting the sinus infection).
