15 weeks pregnant and bleeding

Hello,
In 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant, I woke up this morning with a sharp pain in the left side of my belly, I later discovered I was bleeding, not heavy but enough to worry me. I rang the doctors and they told me to come in and see a midwife, she listened to the baby's heart beat and said everything was ok however if the bleeding didn't stop then to go to A&E later, I've never experienced bleeding in my pregnancy before and am very worried I am losing the baby,

I had some bleeding last week when I was 15 weeks, the same happened to me they listened for a heart beat and said everything was fine. the bleeding turned to brown spotting very quickly and then to nothing by the evening.

have you had any bleeding since? or pain?

Yeah it's turned brown and seems to be stopping but I'm still very worried that I could lose the baby, I had pain in the morning but now I'm only having little twinges bit noting unbearable

I had bleeding at 16 weeks. They thought it was a sensitive cervix. It can be coming from lots of places besides where the baby is so try to stay calm.

Are you rhesus negative? You should have a jab if so.

Otherwise see how you feel. I went to a&e and they scanned me, which put my mind at rest; you might be able to get same? Good luck!

if you are still feeling very stressed about it (which is so understandable) I would ring your midwife and say so and that you would like more reassurance like a scan. or if you have enough funds see if you can have a private scan. lots of private scans do dating scans at 16 weeks.

Thank you both for getting back to me, I had a 12 week scan and they said I was at low risk of losing the baby but the bleeding was so sudden, I'm thinking about going to the hospital anyway just to have a scan just put my mind at ease

I would if I were you. I am sure it will just be an extra sneaky peek at your lovely little baby!
