Had sweep but confused

38+2 3rd baby,
She done sweep and said I was 0.5cm dilated (normal with 3rd apparently) she said cervix is central, was softening and was 2cm long....is this good news? She said she's expecting me to have delivered by due date but booked an appointment for 2 days afterwards.

So a not ready for birth cervix will gneraly be posterior, and a ready for birth one will be central.

The cervix will soften preparing for birth, so yes, its all postitive and your body is preparing for birth

Just wish we knew when these babies were going to come ha ha. thank you
