Hi all, I'm currently pregnant, and really happy. Trouble is, I'm a young woman an haven't had a period since December 2014.

I continuously went to my GP (more than one), the moment I missed my third period in a row, and continued until about 1 months ago (by which time I got fed up). All they kept saying was 'it's hormonal' (since the bloods they sent me for returned as normal).

I've got no pregnancy symptoms at all, apart from frequent ruination.
I'm frightened they'll date me incorrectly, as I've seen people on MN complain of being dated fr about 5dpo, which is just silly.

I had a similar situation but the time lapse wasn't quite as long. Essentially my gp made me guess a period date (I knew it wasn't right). I had my supposed 12 wk scan which showed I was about 7 wks based on measurements. I then went back again later for a proper 12 wk scan. My due date didn't change agaib and turned out to be nearly spot on.

No question of paternity, no, unless you can conceive through too much wishful thinking of a few footballers on screen ;)

Scans are pretty accurate for dating a pregnancy, as accurate as they can be! A due date isn't an exact science. I had no idea when my last period was so guessed made it up. The scan put me forward 8 days. DD was born at 40+2 by their dates so it must have been pretty accurate.

Basically they know how big a baby should be at any given gestation. Here is an idea:www.babycenter.com/average-fetal-length-weight-chart
