I'm 37+1 and have a MW appointment tomorrow anyway so not to worried. But would anyone know what this could mean....

I'm having lots of pressure down below. As its my first baby not sure on what it could be. But on what I have read about contractions, doesn't feel like that. Waters haven't gone & haven't had 'The Show'.

Thank you x

Baby's head engaging?

MumToBe2015R · 12/07/2015 21:57

They told me on Monday just gone babies head is engaged 4/5. Not sure what 4/5 means?

I think it goes that the lower the number is, ie 2/5, the lower the baby is (the less of the head they can feel above). So 5/5 is still entirely above, 4/5 would be 4/5 of the head they can still feel above the pelvis iyswim?

Okay I get it now. Thanks for explaining that to me hun x

If it's any consolation 35+ 5 here and have had days in the last couple of weeks where I've felt like my insides are falling out!! Baby's head putting pressure down there so I'm told! At last appointment MW said his head was well into the pelvis- didn't put a number etc just wrote 'eng' in notes so interested to see what Wednesday's appointment will say! Can't imagine feeling like this for another 4 potentially 6 weeks! Hugs x
