Uppa baby vista

This is a bit of a first world problem guys, but I'm hoping you can help me with it nonetheless.

We've decided to get the Uppa baby vista.

I'm now thinking about which colour to get... I want it to retain it's resale value so definitely won't be getting the creamy white one, but we both really like the grey one. I'm worried that it's not dark enough though and that every mark will show up. I also really like the yellow, because it just looks so sunny, but DH doesn't, says it's ott and that every mark will definitely show up! I originally planned to get the navy to match the car, but someone said that everyone will think baby's a boy (we don't know the sex) so might prove upsetting for me.

There's so much choice!

Anyone care to help with this dilemma of infinite proportions?

We have the pale blue Cruz. I thought I would be regularly washing it. She's been in the blue bit (rather than the carrycot which only came in black for the Cruz when we bought it) for 6 months now and there are a couple of small scuffs but we haven't washed it once and we are in no way careful with it. Go for the colour you like!

We had exactly the same dilemma!

We liked red, turquoise, purple and yellow. Decided yellow may mark easily and dh was less keen on purple. A few people i spoke to said turquoise would make everyone assume boy (it is a boy but want to use for future babies). Personally turquoise is my fave colour and i dont think its a 'boy colour' more than a girl, but just went for red in the end as its most classic and unisex (and matches our car!).

Its a great system. Baby not here yet but feel 100% happy with our choice.

We narrowed it down to green and navy. Went for navy. Wantf gender neutral. IMO would put girl in navy but not boy in read. Didn't know sex of baby.Had girl. She wears variety of colours. Red and pink clothes look lovely against navy. Navy v practical, doesn't show dirt, would highly recomnend
also, if you are considering resale value, IMO, those other bright colours you mentioned will "date" easily

I've seen tiny black flies attracted to bright yellow clothing and pushchair fabric.

We got our red vista 2 years ago, we use a seat liner to keep the inside clean and the outside is still clean. I used a baby wipe on it when I spilt ice cream on the hood and it came straight off so I wouldnt worry too much about dirt unless you will be on very muddy /puddly paths.
Very good point about flies and yellow Autumn.
As for boy/girl colours I had 1 person presume we had a girl because its red, dont worry about what people think do what makes you happy.

Navy - I think it's totally gender neutral, and a classic pram colour that does not date.

I would never have thought red would be perceived as being more girl than boy. How strange!

We just got this to convert to a double. We had a girl and a surprise on the way but have gone for bright blue. I was a bit worried about perception but decided I didn't really care and have had several compliments on the colour. We have since had another girl!

Thank you everyone. Great point about the yellow attracting flies and insects - puts me right off!

We've gone full circle back to navy. Reasons being:

matches the car
I think it's unisex even if other people don't! And as a pp said, who cares what other people think.
it's classic
I wear a lot of navy blue (which is weird, because my school uniform was navy and white... it took me around ten years to wear it again!!)
I think it's one of those colours that is going to be easier to resell (black would obviously be easiest, but I don't want boring old black!)

So thank you all for helping me come to this decision of paramount importance!

Navy is lovely I thought I would get navy but seeing red in JL me and DP fell in love with it! Surprised that lots of you think red is girly and not unisex but our boy will be in lots of blue clothes etc so don't really care... We chose red to be unisex for future babies too. Navy is a good choice though and I love the uppababy, can't wait to use it! Due end of sept
