Maternity swimsuit

My 2yr old really loves swimming, and I'm 22wks pregnant and starting to think I may be stretching my swimsuit now when I go with her!

Any recommendations for good maternity swimsuits, especially ones that don't require too much bikini line care when it's hard to bend etc to make yourself presentable!

Thanks

Mamasandpapas do a nice range in maternity swimwear (suits and tankinis). I didn't feel too frumpy in mine and it kept it's elasticity.

Half my aquanatal class seems to wear the Mothercare tankinis. I like mine because the top is long and ruched enough not to flap about over my (still fairly small) 29 week bump but still has growth room. Saying that, the bottoms were huge on me (pear shape so go figure) so I had to buy some £3 bikini bottoms from Primark to match the top.

I've had one from mothercare since about 16 weeks and I'm now 34. Fits well and comfortable.

PennilynLott · 09/07/2015 13:04

I've got a Mothercare one from the sale, bottoms also a bit big but it was cheap and ok quality and I'm not going to use it that much

I had a nice black one from dorothy Perkins last year for about £15 I think. It was plain but had nice little knot detail and didn't feel too frumpy - might be worth a look ...

Hophop987 · 09/07/2015 13:38

I've got mine from Asos.

Lunastarfish · 09/07/2015 14:12

Mother care has some cheap ones in the sale. I didn't actually need one though until I was 32 weeks

Sheepoverthemoon · 09/07/2015 14:14

I got a black one from next, it wasn't the cheapest around and was disappointing. it felt very restrained around my bump at 6 months pregnant, wouldn't dream of trying to squeeze into it now...

Brummiegirl15 · 09/07/2015 14:29

I'm going on holiday at 21 weeks and I bought a really nice seafolly bikini before I got pregnant which I fully intend to wear anyway - am I mad??

MummyPiggy87 · 09/07/2015 14:42

I got mine in sports direct they had a couple of maternity ones. I paid about £11 for it

WeePoppy · 09/07/2015 15:03

I got a maternity tankini from Asda. It was under £20 if I remember well and it's a goog fit.

newbian · 09/07/2015 16:44

Brummie my boobs have grown so I can't wear any of my pre-pregnancy bikinis anymore, it's borderline x-rated (although DH doesn't mind!) The bottoms still fit fine at 23 weeks so if your chest has stayed the same size you might be able to wear it.

I bought two maternity tankinis from Motherhood (US store) and they provide good support up top which is my main issue.

i love my navy polkadot one from Seraphine, it is really flattering around the shoulders and bust.

ARV1981 · 09/07/2015 21:34

I got a plain black one from Tesco for £16 I think. I don't think it looks frumpy.

Wrcgirl · 13/07/2015 19:58

For this pregnancy I'm going all out in a new red bikini. I'm cool with how it looks although there are some sttech marks and flabby bits if you care to examine.

I hated my tankink - no support and all flappy and clingy on my tummy.

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 13/07/2015 20:54

I got a plain black speedo one last week as my usual swimsuit was getting a bit x-rated in the boob area...

contractor6 · 13/07/2015 21:10

Jojomammabebe, was worried as have big boobs and always went for fitted underwired ones before. But this actually gives good support and I feel like I look good in it.

Roseotto · 13/07/2015 22:32

another vote for the seraphine polka dot
