Was your first baby early/late/on time?

Apparently only 5% are born on due dates. The general consensus is first babies are ALWAYS late, so just wondering......

My first was born on the due. Waiting to see with the second baby!

The midwives told me the same thing about first babies - they reckoned around 90% were late!

There seems to be some evidence that this may run in families though... My sister and I were both born on our exact due dates too!

My first was born 2weeks early but I went into labour at 37+5, it just took a while to progress to becoming active labour. I've not made it to due date with any pregnancy, but luckily made it to term with all three.

10 days late and induced :(

42 + 2. Late according to due date but came when he was ready

2 days early

DS- 2 days late
DD- 2 days early
DC3- I hope not too late

13 days late, went into labour the day I was due to be induced.

38+1

DD was born on her due date...but I was induced, so I don't think that counts!

36+1 here
Actually the always late thing is a myth and your midwife should know this. First babies are less on time, either way, but there's not much in it compared to second babies really. Sorry,I realise I'm the boring person that works in stats

Was taken into delivery room exactly half an hour before my 40-week ante-natal appointment - DC1 is nothing if not punctual!

13 weeks early and almost dead...

41 weeks today had sweep, Got another on Friday

8 days late

3 days over. But he came out looking like a 4 week old. Could lift his head up to look around! I'm convinced they had my dates wrong from the first scan where they moved me back 3 weeks.

Wow thanks for all your responses! I have that as 25 early, 28 late and 6 on due date. So not much in it really!

At 36 + 5 I guess it could be anytime in the next 5 weeks......... please let it be sooner than 5weeks

I was 11 days over with my first, currently 7 days over with my second

4 days early, took me by surprise due to a) the fact that 'most' FTMs are late and b) my mum and sister both went 10 days over on all their pregnancies!

Ds born at 36 weeks
