Hi, I had my scan at 13+1. I've received a letter with all the details and measurements and it says Placenta: low - posterior

I see a lot on here about low lying placentas and wondered if this is what I've got?

I had this with my first baby. It's not diagnosed until the 20 week scan usually as there's a lot of movement before then.

Oh that's good, thanks for replying. I'll wait and see. ??

Yep, agree. It wont be til you 20 week that its position matters. It can be low, but if its 5cm clear of the entrance of the cervix its conisdered safe and normal. Posterior is back, anterior is front
