Advice & thoughts - what's the usual reason a guy would want to do a family based arrangement? Wants to 'co-parent'? Wants communication? Or just doesn't want the CSA taking a chunk out if his wages?

I would imagine most co parents want to, y'know, co-parent. Simple as that.
But how would anyone here know what the motivations are in any individual case?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean?
You're not with the father, but he wants to live with you?
A bit more background might be helpful, no one here knows anything about the person you're asking about Confused

Probably he's a human being and wants to parent his child?Confused

He can co-parent and not live in the same house as you. He has the right to play a role in the child's life, but not a right to life with you.

Personally I would find it very odd for an ex couple to live together raising a child with absolutely no relationship between them. Talk about awkward.

Maybe he just fancies living rent free?

Then again it's not clear what you mean from your post so who knows.
