I'm 8 weeks today and had one wipes worth of blood and a bit of cramping in the back. I was wondering where/how I can go about checking for a heartbeat/having an early scan?

I have a DD who is 2 and just quite worried now.

The blood was brown by the way if that makes a difference.

I'm worried as they suspect I have endometriosis.

You need to contact your local EPAU, some you are able to self refer, some you have to be referred by a GP etc. Have a look online for your local one and it should tell you or have a contact number and they will let you know. Hope all is well x

I had spotting at 11 weeks and was advised to go to a & e
They checked my blood levels and my waters. They then booked me in for a scan the next day. It is quite normal to have some form of spotting in the first 12 weeks so i would not worry to much.

i bleed alot at about 4w5d weeks and then again alittle bit at about 8w5d weeks.. it was around the time i would have been on so It was breakthrough bleeding. At 9w2d i had a scan at the epu after being referred by mr doctor and they made me do another pregnancy test to make sure i hadn't misscarried the first time but she said the test was really strong so they scanned me and straight away it showed a healthy baby growing away with a good strong heartbeat it was even waving its arms up and down Smile and i measured 9w5d .. so get yourself to the doctors and let them know the pain your experiencing & bleeding and ask for a scan.. thats all i did.. im sure everything will be okay but it's always worth the reassurance Grin Take care x

I went to the doctors (as I didn't know about EPUs then) and the GP arranged an early scan for me at the hospital. (Where I saw ds1 for the first time). Good luck
