Bad cramps

Hi. I'm 6weeks+4 and am having cramping. This started about 3 hours ago and has been coming in waves. I'm not bleeding but I'm scared this could be a miscarriage. The pains aren't terrible but are fairly strong. I have 2dcs and don't recall anything like this. I don't know what to do? I'm a police officer and at work at the moment till late tonight. Feeling really scared. Any advice?

You could ring your EPU. At such an early stage, there's not much anyone can do but they may have some advice for you. Good luck.

Currently 36 weeks with dc3 and although I can't promise you good news, I just wanted to share that the first 10 weeks pregnant with this baby were awful, lots of painful cramps, mainly one side at first but then went to bottom of stomach. I had early scan to rule out ectopic due to pain (was too early to detect baby then). Always on knicker watch. Fast forward and now having most painful Braxton hicks/cramps/backache...something every day....oh the joys. Either it's a 3rd baby thing or we forget how bad pregnancy is :)

I had really bad period cramps very early up until about 9 weeks, I also had slight bleeding too but now 7 months, all is fine. I think it's just the uterus stretching but call epu if you need reassurance.

Thanks all. Cramps have subsided a bit. Still there but not as bad. I'll call epu in the morning if it's still bad. Thanks for the advice!

I am 17 weeks of my third pregnancy - the other two were miscarriages. Early on I had awful cramps that would wake me up ... I thought I would loose it but haven't - coild be your body stretching and changing - as long as no blood try not to worry
