Waters went with an almighty pop at 10pm. Been to the hospital for assessment and sent home until I'm having 3 contractions every ten mins.

I'm 38+6 with my first DC and classed as low risk.

I'm having contractions every 3 mins but they are bearable, just wondered will I know when it's time to go back to the hospital? The MW said she expected me to be back in the early hours of the morning

You'll know! Good luck. Don't stay at home too long unless you're planning a home birth.

Thank you, I'm surprised at my calmness right now despite the pain!

No home birth for me, although I would love one next time

Oh good luck, keep timing and make sure you give yourself time to get there!

Good luck and don't leave it too long. You might be surprised by your pain threshold! I know I am. I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my 9th and with my last baby I had a placental abruption which went with an audible pop too. my contractions started straight away and I was blue lighted to the maternity unit. ( im high risk anyway due to my large family and I have fast labours and also large 9lb+ babies. ) the consultant assured me I wasn't in full labour as I was chatting away and etc but I had him an hour later. I'm very calm and collected in labour. yet if I stub my toe I cry and want to die!
