Could my second baby be born early, when my first was so late?

I'm due in 11 days with number two. First was 12 days late by c-section after a failed induction so my body has never been through labour.

I had no signs whatsoever with my first.. But this time around I am experiencing a lot of Braxton hicks that are quite uncomfortable and slightly painful at times (never had them with first), frequent loose bowel movements (sorry tmi) and I think I've had two small mucus shows but one was two weeks ago and another a couple days ago..

Baby was 2/5ths engaged 10 days ago..

Yes, my first was an induction at 40+4 and my second arrived 5 weeks early.

41 wks dd1 39+2 dd2, not especially late or early but I was definitely in denial about being in labour with dd2

41 + 5 with ds1- went into labour an hour before my induction appt. fully expected a late baby second time round but ds2 randomly appeared at 39 weeks with no warning signs at all. Really hoping no 3 decides to be a bit early than late. Those last weeks are awful aren't they!

I know how you're feeling - my first was born 42w (induced at 41+6) so I had no idea what to look out for 2nd time round. 2nd baba arrived 40+3 so not early but nowhere near as late. Hang in there, it sounds like your body is getting ready

DC1 - I was a whopping 17 days over due.
DC2 came at 27 + 5.

37+5 that should say!!!

Not for me, dd was 15 days late and my last was at 8 days late when I had elcs and before that I had loads of Braxtons and was convinced I was in labour a few times. Goodness knows how long she would have hung on for.

My first was 2 days early, second nearly 4 weeks early!

My first was 10 days late (went into labour the day induction was booked). My second was 8 days early, but ironically did have to be induced as my waters brick but contractions didn't start.

Ds1 was born at 40+1. Ds2 was due yesterday and I've no sign of impending labour so I imagine I'm actually going to be late with this one which is new to me! I really thought my second would be early.

Ds1 was born 16 days late.
Ds2 was born 4 days early.

Braxton hicks are a good sign.
I had quite a lot with dd1 and she was born at 40+4.
Even more strong braxtons with dd2 and she appeared at 39+6 so a bit earlier.
Sounds like your body is doing a lot to prepare for labour this time.
