Hi there, just out of curiosity I was just wondering if many of you have experienced this:
Falling asleep exhausted at bed time (for me around 10.30pm) and waking up around about 2am hungry, having to go downstairs to eat something and drink some milk, coming back upstairs and not being able to sleep for about 2 and a half hours.
I have had that for a week now, and it's the same every night. I'm lying there wondering why I can't sleep as I'm not stressed, not uncomfortable...
it's a mystery but I spoke to someone today who said she was exactly the same during both her pregnancies.
And my last pregnancy was the same only it happened a lot later (in the pregnancy)
Just wondering if it happenned to any of you?

yes happening to me too and did on my last pregnancy. It's called pregnancy insomnia and is referred to in my pregnancy book. it's bad cos you end up exhausted!

I'm having the same problem. Go to bed exhausted at 9pm. Wake up between 3-4am and just can't get back to sleep. Can't go downstairs because it wakes the dog so I just roll backwards and forwards for an hour or so. Then the alarm goes off at 7am and I don't feel like I've been to sleep at all.

The other problem i'm getting is having to go the toilet at least twice in the night which doesn't help with the sleep! this happened all the way through in my last pregnancy as well! However althouth i am slightly anxious that this might not be a good sign, i'm nine weeks and not getting any sickness symptoms, last time i was incredibly nnauseous and sick with bad headaches quite often!
