Im 38 +1 weeks pregnant and I can't seem to get off the toilet, sorry I know that's tmi. My bowels are so loose and I'm just wondering if this has anything to actually do with pregnancy.

Better to go into labour with nice empty bowels than do a poo whilst giving birth like some people do Blush

LissieD · 27/06/2015 09:59

Could be you are about to go into labour? Body clearing everything out so it can then focus on pushing out the baby instead?

Excitedmummytobe00 · 27/06/2015 10:33

Leighhalfpenny well I suppose you've got that right, esp if I'm planning on a water birth hehe. And LissieD, I really hope so, I'm so fed up off waiting now! Sad defiantly feeling sorry for myself, aha!

Hi, I was like this right before I went into labour!! Body preparing itself.

Good luck Flowers

Excitedmummytobe00 · 27/06/2015 11:09

Oh wow, how exciting. I really do hope this is what's happening but to me, not sure I can do any more cleaning aha Blush and congratulations! Flowers

It's your body clearing out its system before you give birth. I remember this! Could be another week before things get moving. Good sign!!

Excitedmummytobe00 · 27/06/2015 11:48

Hopefully, fingers crossed! Not sure if this is a sign of anything either but I'm defiantly becoming a grumpy mare and can't seem to sit still.

I'm 38+3 and I've been the same for 2 weeks even getting up in middle of night to empty bowels which never happens to me.

I'm going mental watching every sign hoping I'll go into labour!! Good luck

berrypicking · 27/06/2015 13:31

I am 38+3 and been having the same for about that last two weeks. I think our bodies are getting ready but could still be weeks away. I am fed up too!

coneywonder · 27/06/2015 14:06

Same due date then berrypicking I had a melt down yesterday and told oh I wasn't gonna go do it anymore. Hopefully it will be soon for both of us

Bustherb · 27/06/2015 14:45

Ha ha I have regular melt downs these days! I get myself into such a state I don't remember what I was upset about Blush xx

Excitedmummytobe00 · 27/06/2015 15:19

Glad we are all in the same boat haha. I keep wanting to cry about what's to come!! Must think positive!!

Lunastarfish · 27/06/2015 20:52

Also in the same boat - 37+5 been having toilet issues all week. However, I have spent the majority of my pregnancy constipated so in some ways this is nice!!

NurseP · 28/06/2015 23:18

Another one pooing lots here! Have been for a couple of weeks- now 36+3. Not always loose, but definatly more frequency and a bit more urgency. I just put it down to less stomach capacity or is it a sign of anything starting? It does worry me that i may poo on the midwife when having baby though! Blush
