Hi guys.

I'm 11/12 weeks pregnant and have my dating scan on Thursday. I had an early scan at 5 weeks as I had a very small amount of blood when I wiped (TMI). The scan showed a heart beat and that all was normal.

Throughout the last 11 weeks I have had no symptoms, maybe a little tired now and again and I did have sore boobs near the start. Yesterday, when i wiped I did have a little amount of blood again when I wiped. It was a pinky colour within CM (TMI again) but then it has not appeared again.

I'm worried that something maybe wrong as I still don't feel pregnant and really hoping things are ok. Has anyone experienced this or can provide any advice.

Thanks in advance.

It could be a UTI or low lying placenta - I've had bleeding caused by both of those in the past. It's best to get checked out though. Hope all is well

Hi I had spotting at 11 weeks (tiny bit of red blood when I wiped) which then turned to a brownish discharge. Was so upset as I was convinced I was miscarrying but scan that day showed all was well with baby and it settled down after a few hours. Had a very heavy bleed later on at 13 weeks which lasted a few hours - scan again showed baby fine. Was later diagnosed with a sub-chronic haematoma but it eventually re-absorbed. I'm now 32 weeks. Try not to worry and go for a scan as soon as you can. Fingers crossed for you.

Make another appointment at your doctors. If the bleeding doesn't get any heavier you should be fine. This happened to me at 11/12 weeks but the bleeding got heavier and unfortunately I miscarried. It's not always the case though as many women bleed throughout their pregnancy and still go on to have healthy babies. I hope it all works out well for you x

It was only once when i wiped and fingers crossed it hasnt appeared since.

I have my scan on Thursday so i guess i'll wait and see what happens then. Just fingers crossed everything is ok. Having next to no pregnancy symptoms is just worrying as well although i know i maybe the lucky one.

I had spotting from 6 to 25 weeks - after many trips to my local ANDU they diagnosed me with an ectropian cervix which is a common pregnancy "complication" which causes harmless spotting.

If you're concerned may I suggest you speak to your midwife and get someone to check where the blood is coming from? Normally if you've been experiencing PV loss they will.routinely perform a speculum examination which is uncomfortable but painless and will give you the reassurance you need Smile

I had bleeding, more like tinged discharge, 3 or 4 times during the first trimester. Also had absolutely no symptoms haven't been sick or anything.

At 12 weeks I finally found out what had caused the bleeding and now at 22 weeks I am expecting a heathy baby boy.

Obviously sometimes bleeding isn't a good sign but it's not always an indicator that something is wrong. Best of luck

I spotted at 8 weeks, had no symptoms in the first trimester and I bled during and after my 12 week scan, all was fine and I am now sat looking at my 3 week old daughter. I know it's scary with lack of symptoms, but if you are worried contact your GP or midwife to see if they can see you earlier.

Hi, I'm sorry you're experiencing this and it's great there are so many positive stories from others.
I really don't want to make you worry but I think it'd be sensible to consider that things may not be going well and be prepared for both outcomes.
I had an early scan at 8 weeks where everything looked fine and heartbeat found. But a couple of days before my 12 week scan I had pinky brown spotting and sadly the scan confirmed the baby had died and a miscarriage was diagnosed.
I was so shocked as everyone i'd raised concerns to told me it'll be just fine. And a lot of the time it is. But sometimes it's not. So go into your scan tomorrow with a huge amount of hope but also awareness.
Very much hoping it's great news.
