I had a 2nd growth scan today. Following one 3 weeks ago where baby was pretty much 50th percentile the abdominal circumference has now jumped up to nearly 97%. I've been told it's nothing to worry about and to have another scan in 2 weeks but was wondering if anyone else has experience of this?

I know it can be a sign of GD but I came in just within normal for this. There's no excess fluid. Everything else is normal.

Weird thing is at 20 week scan abdominal was at 75% so it fell then got higher again? Am wondering if there was a dodgy measurement a few weeks ago....

Also I've had so many scans now am starting to worry! 6 so far...

My dd always measured bigger on the tummy than everywhere else, she was fine when she was born. If the hospital aren't worried you don't need to. I always think hospitals are so worried about being sued they overreact to the least bit thing just in case.

Thankd PrincessVikki. I just worked out the weight in lbs and its 5lbs5oz which they've said is 50th centile but seems quite chunky to me!

I had this with DS. He still does in fact, have a big belly! Nothing medically wrong just his body shape
