Hi my quads results show I am high risk of having a baby with a chromosome abnormalities, such as Downs Syndrome, Edwards Syndrome and Patou Syndrome. I am having an amniocentesis tomorrow, but I am so worried. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

I had the quad test but actually wished I hadn't. The test has a very very high rate of false positives. I think for women who are 25 and under it is just 60% accurate and for women over 25 just slightly more accurate.

I think the stats are out of every 17 women who get a high risk result only 1 will end up having a baby with chromosomal problems.

Best of luck to you and I hope everything goes well x
