Constantly worrying

Hi everyone, I am currently 5+3 and I cannot shake this scared feeling, I had a bleed last week the day after I found out that lasted for 4 days I've been having crampy twinges they started on the right side now they are at the middle bottom, my first midwife appt is not until the middle of July and I will be 13+4 by the time I get my scan, I just did another digital test and it's still showing as 1-2 weeks where I would have thought it would have said 2-3 weeks now , am I just being paranoid ?

Hi didn't want to read and not answer. I have been paranoid and anxious through out my pregnancy as it's the first. There is jotting I can say to reassure you as everyone is different. I was so sure there was something to wrong until 12 week scan but spoke to Dh and he kept me calm. I had a bleed at 18 weeks and luckily all was well. Currently 37+4 abd much more relaxed about things now but still worry about baby. I think it's just how parenthood works. Hope you are ok.

Get an urgent GP appt and a referral to your local EPU. I had the same and had a scan at 7 weeks which provided much needed reassurance. If something goes wrong you can't stop it but you can end the anxiety by getting some answers. Best of luck xx

I had an early bleed and asked GP for early scan - explained how anxious I was etc. they sent me up early pregnancy unit at 5-6 weeks then returned at 8 weeks for second scan. Hope all turns out ok got you

Go & ask for a reassurance scan - my midwife organised one for me as I'd mc'd before. It definitely made us feel better seeing the heartbeat.

In my area when I bled last time I phoned NHS24 who put me through to the local early pregnancy unit - I now know I can contact them direct if I need to. Have a look & see if you've got something like that locally. Hope everything's okay. Take care of yourself.
