Has anyone ever tried acupuncture or hypnosis for severe morning sickness when absolutely all else has failed. Just wondering.
Thanks for your opinions,

Acupuncture acn be very effective. A friend of mine had that done by her GP who was trained in it. I personally found seabands really good which work on the principle of acupressure - bands round your wrists you can get in Boots.

I tried accupunture to ease my morning sickness, it worked better with my 1st child than 2nd. I think I was too exhausted 2nd time around. You could try the website for Hyperemesis Gravada sufferers, I wish I had known about this site when I was pregnant. I tried reflexology too, which helped a bit. One thing I did alot, I know it sounds weird, is suck/chew ice. If I could get an ice cube in as a wave of sickness was starting it could often prevent actually being sick. All the best, I feel for you I really do.

Hypnosis can be brilliant. At the very least I found myself not being upset by being nauseated, if that makes sense. Another thing I found excellent was osteopathy. I saw my osteopath 4 or 5 times during my pregnancy. Marvelous.

Thank you so much for your helpful replies. I've made a note of all of them.
It's not actually me that is suffering, although I did experience horrible morning sickness with all of my pregnancies. I am enquiring for a friend of mine who suffers from debilitating 'Hyperemesis' and I found a website called 'Blooming Awful'. It's very helpful indeed and it covers such topics such as hynotherapy, homeopathy and acupuncture. I'll pass this on to her.
Thanks once again
