I'm having my dating scan on Friday, but thanks to the strict LMP midwife rule but a 50 day cycle, I already know that I am 10 weeks and not 12. Will they insist on scanning me again at 12 weeks. hopeful - surely they won't see everything they need this week and will force me to have another scan at 12 weeks just to make sure

It depends whether you are having the nuchal translucency scan. This needs to be done between 11+2 and 13+6.

I had my first dating scan at 10+2 which was fine as they didn't do the NT scan then.

Similar situation as you Glinda, Went knowing we werent 12 weeks, came up 10+4 and went back 2 weeks later for NT measurement.

Yes, we intended having the NT.

The radiographer did in fact measure the NT at 10 weeks which she shouldn't have (in fact what she measured was NOT the NT). This produced a VERY high measurement and 2 weeks of unnecessary worry so it also ended up being a relief when everything was well under 'high' and my risk factor very low (when combined with bloods).

So make sure they dont measure at 10 weeks :-)
